Total Resource Campaign

TRC 4

The Total Resource Campaign (TRC) is a six-week campaign in the fall during which Chamber members volunteer their time to help market sponsorship opportunities and recruit new members. The TRC is the only time the Chamber offers sponsorship opportunities to Chamber members, allowing businesses to plan their marketing budget and making them aware of Chamber programs for the coming calendar year. In addition to increasing non-dues funding, the TRC allows members to get involved with the Chamber and network with other business owners and professionals.

The annual TRC gives Chamber members the ability to promote their business during Chamber events, with more than 900 diverse sponsorship opportunities available. Sponsorships range from $100 to $5,000. Companies choosing to sponsor an event are given a “right of first renewal” and the opportunity to renew their sponsorships during the first two weeks of the campaign.

As a regional business leader and board member of the Decatur-Morgan County Chamber of Commerce, Heather Wilson, Southern States Director at United Launch Alliance, is enthusiastic about the Chamber’s efforts to uplift local businesses. "I fully support the Chamber’s mission and the innovative strategies they use to help businesses, and the broader community thrive," Wilson said. This year, she’s stepping into a new role as chair for the Chamber's upcoming 20th Total Resource Campaign (TRC), titled Connect24.

In explaining a Total Resource Campaign, or TRC, Chamber President and CEO Crystal Brown says, “through this endeavor, businesses will find increased opportunities to gain exposure among Chamber membership and stakeholders. Additionally, they will experience a greater return on investment by securing higher profile visibility in the community through Chamber programs and initiatives.” The TRC provides businesses of all sizes opportunities to reach diversified customer groups and grow their businesses. Members will see a return on their investment and will be able to determine which options best suit their business needs. "We consider the TRC a WIN-WIN-WIN, because our volunteers also have the opportunity to connect with other members and grow their business network," Brown said.

Chamber Board Chairman John Holley, Dean for Technologies at Calhoun Community College, also emphasized the campaign’s benefits for small businesses. "We hope that businesses—especially smaller ones—will recognize the TRC as a powerful way to engage with the community and create meaningful business connections," Holley said.

TRC volunteers will be contacting member businesses about marketing opportunities that best match their needs starting on September 24. From September 10 - 20, volunteers will be reaching out to companies who sponsored events for the 2024 calendar year to give them an opportunity to renew their sponsorships for 2025. The campaign is open to all members from September 24 – November 5.
