Día de los Muertos Celebration Brings Music, Culture and Community to Downtown Decatur

Downtown Decatur was filled with music and culture on Monday, November 2, as the community came together to celebrate Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead).

Hosted by Downtown Decatur's Corazón y Cultura, the celebration brought families and friends together to honor loved ones, share traditions and enjoy an evening of festivities. The event featured live music, dancing, food and local vendors, a Catrina Contest, a Kids Zone and a community altar honoring those who have passed.

The Decatur-Morgan County Chamber of Commerce was proud to sponsor this celebration. Thank you to Corazón y Cultura, everyone involved in organizing the event and all who came out to celebrate!

Now officially a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and a new Chamber member, Corazón y Cultura continues to make a meaningful impact by celebrating cultural heritage and bringing our community together.
