Taking the Leap: Local Entrepreneurs Share Stories of Growth and Impact

On April 1, the Chamber hosted its Emerging Leaders event featuring Hunter Allen, Director of Parks & Recreation for the City of Decatur, and Lindsey Allen, co-owner of The Mallard Coffee Company. Hunter and Lindsey shared their journey of taking a leap of faith and building something meaningful right here in Decatur-Morgan County.

From returning through the Best & Brightest Initiative to growing The Mallard from a pop-up into a thriving local business, their story served as a powerful reminder of what’s possible when passion meets purpose.

Hunter also provided insight into his role with the City of Decatur and highlighted exciting quality-of-life projects currently underway. As Hunter and Lindsey shared, “The leap you're afraid to take could be the one that changes everything.”
