Temporary Closure of Morgan County Courthouse Begins February 16

(News Release) On Monday, February 16, 2026, the Morgan County Courthouse will close for a short period of time to complete electrical renovations.  This closure is expected to last two to four weeks.  Below is information on where courthouse offices will continue to do business during closure.  Offices will begin relocating on February 9, 2026 ,so please be sure to follow the Morgan County Commission Facebook page and website (morgancounty-al.gov) for additional information provided by each office.

Please note the local driver’s license office operated by ALEA in Morgan County will close during the courthouse closure.  State IDs, new driver permits and licenses, CDLs, Star IDs and driving tests will be available in neighboring counties.
