January SuperStar Teacher: Celebrating Briana Caudle at Chestnut Grove Elementary School

Our presenting sponsor, Hubbard & Drake General-Mechanical Contractors, Inc., represented by Brian Beidleman and Chris Howard, along with John Holley, past chair of the Chamber’s Board of Directors, Board Treasurer Charlotte Gregory, Board Member Keith Jackson, Miss Caudle’s family and Chamber staff, surprised Miss Caudle with a $150 gift card for her classroom, a $50 gift card for personal use and a $1,000 grant awarded to Chestnut Grove Elementary School from the Chamber’s One Vision Foundation. We would also like to thank our January monthly sponsor, Moonwalk Inflatables Tents & Party Rentals, Inc.
“Miss Briana Caudle demonstrates exceptional teaching skills through intentional, student-centered practices that meet the diverse needs of learners within her inclusion classroom setting. She creates a structured, predictable and nurturing environment where students feel safe, respected and empowered to take academic and social risks. Through clear expectations, consistent routines and positive reinforcement, her classroom fosters independence, confidence and a strong sense of belonging for all students.” wrote Lena Austin, a drama teacher, in her nomination. She also noted that Miss Caudle’s impact extends beyond her classroom through her volunteer service with the Decatur High School drama department, where she shares her dance expertise with students.
