Endless Opportunities Connects Students with Local Careers

Approximately 2,100 eighth graders had the opportunity to explore careers at the Chamber’s 2026 Endless Opportunities hands-on career expo, held September 29–30 at Ingalls Harbor Pavilion. Students represented Decatur City, Morgan County, Hartselle City, Athens City and Limestone County schools, along with private and homeschool students.

More than 50 businesses and industries engaged students in hands-on activities, introducing them to careers that match their interests and skills and the education pathways needed to get there. Conversations with local employers gave students a chance to ask questions, discover unfamiliar fields and picture a future right here in north Alabama.

Engaging, educational activities were a highlight of the event. Students participated in a drunk driving simulation with the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office, learning about the dangers of impaired driving.
