Hiring Event Connects More Than 250 Job Seekers with Local Employers

The Decatur-Morgan County Chamber of Commerce partnered with the Morgan County Economic Development Association, AIDT and Career Connect to host a Hiring Event on August 6 at Ingalls Harbor Pavilion in Decatur, connecting job seekers with local employment opportunities.

More than 250 job seekers attended the event, where they had the opportunity to connect with 13 local employers and participate in on-site interviews for available positions. Attendees were also able to print digital resumes and engage with companies through Career Connect and will continue receiving communications through the platform after the event.

The Hiring Event is part of an ongoing effort among the Chamber and its workforce partners to connect local business and industry with individuals seeking employment while strengthening the workforce pipeline in Decatur-Morgan County.
