Educators Tour 3M During Chamber’s 3rd Annual Industry Day for Teachers

The Chamber’s 3rd Annual Industry Day for Teachers was a success as educators from Decatur City, Hartselle City and Morgan County Schools toured 3M on January 22. The initiative is designed to bridge the gap between education and industry by providing educators with firsthand insight into modern manufacturing and how these experiences can be connected to classroom learning.

The goal of Industry Day for Teachers is to equip educators with real-world industry knowledge that can be used to inspire students and help prepare them for workforce opportunities in manufacturing and beyond. By highlighting how today’s manufacturing operations function, the skills needed for success and practical ways to incorporate these concepts into instruction, the program supports workforce development while strengthening collaboration between education and industry. This partnership helps ensure students are better prepared for future career opportunities.

Thank you to our presenting sponsor Mazda Toyota Manufacturing, U.S.A., Inc, gold sponsor 3M for hosting our educators and providing an in-depth tour of their facility and silver sponsors Jackson Plumbing Heating Cooling Electrical & Septic, an ACE Hardware Company and Redstone Federal Credit Union.
