Know Before You Vote Brings Voters and Candidates Together

On August 7, more than 250 voters gathered at the Cook Museum of Natural Science for Know Before You Vote, hosted by the Young Professionals of Decatur and the Decatur-Morgan County Chamber of Commerce’s ProsperityPAC. The event featured 18 candidates and one candidate representative, providing an opportunity for open dialogue ahead of the upcoming municipal election. Through speed rounds and open networking, participants had the chance to learn more about each candidate’s priorities.

The Morgan County Board of Registrars offered voter registration assistance, and the Decatur City Clerk was on hand to answer election-related questions.
