Chamber Hosts Welcome Breakfast for New Decatur Teachers

On July 29, the Decatur-Morgan County Chamber of Commerce celebrated the educators who will help shape the next generation of leaders by joining the Decatur City School System.

Approximately 125 new teachers were welcomed with a special breakfast at the Cook Museum of Natural Science to kick off the upcoming school year.

Superintendent Dr. Michael Douglas introduced principals from across the district, who then introduced their new team members, each in their own unique way. The Chamber wishes all staff, administrators, and teachers a successful year ahead. The first day of class is Thursday, August 7.
