Trash Pandas’ Hometown Throwdown Highlights Decatur-Morgan County

The Decatur-Morgan County Chamber of Commerce was proud to be featured at the Trash Pandas’ Hometown Throwdown at Toyota Field last night, where the Rocket City Trash Pandas took on the Knoxville Smokies.

The evening spotlighted our community and the Chamber’s One Vision Foundation, which supports local education and community initiatives. Recent Austin High School graduate and Edge Student Leadership alum Sydney Brown performed a beautiful rendition of the national anthem. The Chamber’s Administrative & Events Coordinator Alex King joined several community leaders to throw out the ceremonial first pitch including Decatur Police Chief Torry Mack and Decatur Fire Chief Tracy Thornton.

Thank you to everyone who came out to support Decatur-Morgan County and stopped by our booth! We’re grateful to be part of the Hometown Throwdown Series, which will conclude with a donation from the Trash Pandas Foundation to a designated nonprofit based on fan attendance.
