Melanie Tyson Named Commodore of the Month

Thank you to Habitat ReStore on Central Parkway in Decatur for hosting our monthly Commodore meeting on November 10. Commodore Admiral and Habitat for Humanity of Morgan County Executive Director Landis Griffin explained the mission of the nonprofit organization that creates affordable housing to improve the lives of families in Decatur, Hartselle and the surrounding communities. After lunch, the group toured the facility and learned more about how they use proceeds from the ReStore to help fund the mission of Habitat for Humanity.

Congratulations to Melanie Tyson with Kilgro & Associates, Inc. for being named the Greater Morgan County Builders Association Commodore of the Month for November.

This awesome group of more than 40 professionals volunteer their time and expertise to welcome and mentor new members, build membership and raise community awareness of Chamber activities and benefits. The Commodore program is presented by Redstone Federal Credit Union.
